My name is Risa. I'm 24 years old and live in Boca Raton, Florida. I have battled with my weight since I was about 6 years old, and for the last couple years, I was finally winning the fight. But I slipped, gaining back 36lbs from my lowest weight in ages. Now I'm buckling down again to shed the weight so I can look on the outside the way I feel on the inside. But the road isn't always straight and smooth. For more information on my life-long weight loss journey, please view my first post here. This blog exists for me, to keep me on track and motivated. If you don't like personal posts or personal opinions, you took the wrong fork at Albuquerque!

I’m sick of seeing the sign on the left go around Tumblr, so I made the one on the right. Please reblog to spread the word. The signs are FAKE. There is a website you can go to where you can make fake McDonald’s signs. (Unfortunately, it looks like the site is down right now thanks to this stupid hoax. But you can run a reverse image search on Google with either of these images and find the exact same shot with different text, courtesy of the down website.)

Check your facts, people. McDonald’s may not have the healthiest food, but they’re not morons. They wouldn’t make a huge move like that to alienate their customers. The only thing in your pants they care about is your wallet.

Still craving fast food?

Not after reading this article, you won’t be. Just an excerpt:

“When I worked at McDonald’s, I accidentally left a whole bag of about 100 chicken nuggets out on a counter for way too long,” Dfunkatron confesses. “They melted. Into a pool of liquid. I never understood why. But they were completely indiscernible as being the nuggets i once knew.”

Wait until you read how recycling used cooking oil works.

Would you think twice about eating there now?
It’s not all about calories and weight loss: healthy eating is about keeping you cancer free, heart disease free, diabetes free and optimizing your chances of living a healthy, long life. Not every state requires a label (this one is from California), but the same foods are available EVERYWHERE.
Be smart. Be prepared. Learn about the foods you’re consuming.

While I agree that McDonald’s is nowhere near the epitome of health, California puts those cancer labels on EVERYTHING. I once saw a lamp that said eating it can give you cancer. The once in a while french fry or baked potato is not going to kill you. Eating it everyday a la Super Size Me, yeah, that’ll do damage.
